Académie Aida Léman invites you to celebrate the performing arts in all their forms, in the heart of the city of Gland
Situated just five minutes' walk from Gland railway station, Académie Aida Léman, Introduces students of all ages - from small children to adults - to all types of performing arts: whether it be music, dance, poetry, drama and performance or visual arts, in an inclusive, interdisciplinary and intergenerational way.
Academy director Benjamin HATT’s aim is to encourage each student to blossom and develop their personality, sensitivity, creativity and autonomy through arts education. Académie Aida Léman’s immersive training methods foster interdisciplinary links between the various arts.
Benjamin presides over a talented team of teachers who provide the inclusive educational environment he is so passionate about. Each teacher focuses on their own discipline to work with students, with the emphasis on developing the individual within the complexity of the group. Students with disabilities or social difficulties are also welcome at Académie Aida Léman.
Fascinated by early music and by the virtuoso performers who have left their mark on history, in 2021 Benjamin found a place in the academy’s main hall for an organ belonging to the world-famous German conductor Karl Richter. This magnificent instrument, a veritable work of art that dates from an era associated with the rediscovery of Baroque music, is available for use by professional organists who want to experience the spirit and finesse of this instrument designed by Karl Richter and built by Paul Ott in 1977.
Académie Aida Léman, which was founded in 2012, became an association in August 2020. Please help to support it so that it can continue to contribute to the expansion of culture in the region, through the creation of interdisciplinary performances in partnership with other institutions as well as regional municipal authorities.
